Scale

Description

Survey Plans are legal maps drawn to a specified scale.

Purpose

Identifies the scale to which the plan was drawn.

Why is this important?

Survey plans are generally drawn to scale to provide the reader with accurate diagrammetric proportions, however, scaling of the plan is not recommended. Features, particularly encroachments, may be exaggerated for clarity, so wherever possible rely on the actual mearurements noted on the plan.
